چکیده
Abstract The energy–environment–growth nexus has been examined for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, mainly using time series data. However, important role renewable energy and population largely ignored in previous studies. As such, this study is conducted to investigate a causal link between usage, population, carbon dioxide emissions, economic growth. In addition, relatively new advanced panel vector autoregressive model Granger non-causality test heterogeneous panels are utilized with sample seven ASEAN countries almost three decades since 1990. Key findings from paper as follows. First, usage responds growth leads (CO 2 ) emissions. Second, explain substantial proportion change consumption. Third, bidirectional causality does exist each pair among consumption, CO We argue that moderating extending vital achieving sustainable region.

Energy as one of the factors of production along with labor and capital has an important role in development and social welfare. Due to the pollution of non-renewable resources and its negative impact on welfare, the use of renewable resources can improve social welfare by eliminating pollutants. In this study, the effect of renewable and non-renewable energy consumption on social welfare of de...

متن کاملRenewable Energy Strategies for Sustainable Development
This paper discusses the perspective of renewable energy (wind, solar, wave and biomass) in the making of strategies for a sustainable development. Such strategies typically involve three major technological changes: energy savings on the demand side, efficiency improvements in the energy production, and replacement of fossil fuels by various sources of renewable energy. Consequently, large-sca...
متن کاملEconomic Growth and Renewable Energy in Iran
Energy plays an active role in sustainable development in Iran, both in the sustainable and the development aspects. This study aims to estimate the nexus of economic growth and the renewable energy in Iran during 1981-2012. We employ the Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model to estimate a log-linear equation. The results suggest that renewable energy consumption is an insignificant driv...

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of the development of financial markets and tax revenues on economic growth in Southeast Asian countries using data from the period 1980-1980. For this purpose, a supply-oriented endogenous growth pattern and due to the nonlinear relationship between the research variables, the PSTR model has been used. In this study, three indicators of fi...
